What areas does Macho Movers serve?
We serve over 20 locations across Ontario including Guelph, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Burlington, Oakville, London, Ottawa, Barrie, and many more. We also handle long-distance moves across Canada with weekly truck departures from all major cities.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes! Macho Movers is fully licensed and insured. We carry comprehensive liability coverage and are a registered member of the Canadian Association of Movers. We also hold an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
What are your hours of operation?
We operate 7 days a week, Monday through Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. We can also accommodate after-hours moves for commercial clients upon request.
How long has Macho Movers been in business?
Macho Movers was founded in 2016 by Brad Veldman in Guelph, Ontario. Since then, we've completed over 2,000 moves and have grown to 3 offices with 20+ service locations across the province.

How do I get a quote?

How is pricing calculated?
Local moves are typically charged on an hourly basis, with rates depending on the number of movers and trucks needed. Long-distance moves are priced based on the weight/volume of your belongings and distance. We always provide a detailed quote before starting.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We pride ourselves on transparent pricing. Your quote will include all costs upfront. If there are potential additional charges (like stairs, long carries, or specialty items), we discuss these during the quoting process.
Do you offer discounts?
We offer competitive rates year-round and occasionally run seasonal promotions. Contact us for current pricing and any available discounts. Mid-week and mid-month moves can sometimes offer better availability and rates.
Before Your Move
How far in advance should I book my move?
We recommend booking 2-4 weeks in advance, especially during peak season (May through September). For long-distance moves, 3-4 weeks advance booking is ideal. We do accommodate last-minute moves when possible - just give us a call.
Do I need to pack everything myself?
No! We offer full and partial packing services. Our professional packers use high-quality materials to protect your belongings. You can let us handle everything, or just the fragile and specialty items.
What should I do to prepare for moving day?
Review our Moving Checklist page for a complete guide. Key steps include: declutter and donate unwanted items, pack a personal essentials bag, label boxes by room, secure valuables separately, and ensure clear pathways for movers.
Can you move specialty items like pianos or pool tables?
Yes! We have specialized equipment and trained team members for moving pianos, pool tables, safes, hot tubs, antiques, artwork, and other specialty items. Let us know about these during your quote so we can plan accordingly.
During Your Move
How do you protect my belongings during the move?
We use professional furniture pads, stretch wrap, moving blankets, and bubble wrap. Floors and doorways are protected with coverings. Fragile items receive extra padding. All items are secured in the truck with straps and padding.
Do I need to be present during the move?
While we recommend being present or having a representative available, we can work with you to make arrangements if you can't be there. We need someone to do a walkthrough at both locations and sign off on the delivery.
What happens if something gets damaged during the move?
While damage is extremely rare with our careful handling, we carry comprehensive insurance. If damage occurs, report it immediately to your crew lead. We have a straightforward claims process and work quickly to make things right.
Storage
Do you offer storage services?
Yes! We offer both short-term and long-term storage solutions. Our facilities are secure, monitored, and climate-controlled. We also offer portable storage containers that we deliver to your location.
Can I access my stored items?
Yes, you can access your stored items during business hours with advance notice. We'll help you locate and retrieve specific items as needed.
Is insurance included with storage?
Basic insurance is included with all storage services. Enhanced coverage options are available for high-value items. We'll discuss the best coverage for your needs during consultation.
